play on words

Topic about a joke.Today my wife attended ESS class in Kyoto and brought back today's material discussing about English joke.Among them what I liked most was as follows.
The reason so many businesses fail these days is that corporate members have too many bored members.

It's a play on words between bored members and board members.Most of other jokes she showed me was such kind of pun jokes,but why I was impressed by no other jokes but this one is that this joke reflects realy situations in some companies.When a company faces some financial difficulties,the easiest and the most likely approach they make is reducing the number of employees regardless of their having so many board members.

Samurai? or Ninja?

THere is no paticular joke related to Japanese culture that can be understood by foreigners who don't know our language.So I by myself created one joke to avoid you having wrong impression that Japan doen't have a sense of humor.

Question:Suppose you're lost in a way then happened to meet one Samurai and one Ninja.Which can you rely on to ask your way back to the right track?

Answer:Ninja,because....Samurai tells "some lie".

I know that native speaker has clear sound difference between "Sam" and "some","rai" and "lie".So if this joke had opposite effect of damaging the Japanese sense of humor,please wait for another one I create.
